Our next live music sessions are coming soon.

A Beautiful Place to Share Your Talent

While guests settle in for a manicure or pedicure, a musician plays. It is a real audience in a calm room — a chance to build confidence, try your repertoire in front of people, and get to know the Santa Monica community.

Students are especially welcome. So are adult musicians who simply love to play. You don't need professional credentials — just preparation and music that suits a relaxed salon.

Performance details

When and where

Days: Friday & Saturday, to begin with
Time: 4–7 PM
Set length: Flexible within that window — 30 minutes to 3 hours. Confirmed with you by management.
Location: 729 Montana Ave #1, Santa Monica, CA 90402, USA
Music: Smooth jazz, classical, soul, soft blues, bossa nova and relaxed instrumental selections, at a comfortable background volume. Every performance is subject to management approval.

Performance terms

How sessions work

Performances are by invitation, after we review your application.
The date, set length, equipment and what's expected are confirmed with you in advance.
Any compensation or other arrangement is discussed and agreed with you clearly before a session is scheduled.
There is never a fee to apply or to perform.
Under-18 performers are scheduled only with a parent or guardian's consent and appropriate supervision.
Music is performed at a volume that keeps the salon calm and conversational.
Musicians and staff respect our guests' comfort and privacy — no photos or recordings of guests without their consent.

Frequently asked

Can high school students apply?

Yes. Students are especially welcome. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian completes their part of the application and authorizes it, and we arrange everything with them, including supervision on the day.

Do I need to be a professional musician?

No. We look for preparation, music that suits a calm salon and a reliable, friendly attitude. Professional credentials are not required.

Can I perform for only 30 or 60 minutes?

Yes. Sets are flexible within our 4–7 PM window — 30 minutes to 3 hours. Tell us your preference and we'll confirm the length with you.

Can I bring a keyboard or my own instrument?

Yes — please bring your own instrument and list what you'll bring and need on your application. We'll confirm what our space allows before your session. Amplification should be minimal.

What types of music are appropriate?

Smooth jazz, classical, soul, soft blues, bossa nova, instrumental pop, soft R&B and acoustic music, played at a comfortable background volume so guests can still talk and relax.

Can I invite friends or family?

Let us know on your application. Space in the salon is limited, so we'll confirm what works when we schedule your session.

How are performers selected?

Our team listens to your sample, considers whether the music suits the salon and checks the Friday & Saturday dates you'd like. We contact the musicians we select.

Will I have the opportunity to perform again?

Strong performers may be invited back. It isn't guaranteed, and each session is confirmed separately.

Is compensation available?

Any compensation or other arrangement is discussed and agreed with you clearly before a session is scheduled. There is never a fee to apply or to perform.
